The day

Some days are simply about the sea. You follow the coast road west from Lisbon, past grand Estoril and into seaside Cascais, out to the cliffs of Cabo da Roca where the land finally runs out. And back to the sand, with time to swim if the mood takes you.

Questions, answered

How long is the day?

About 7 hours, door to door, with pick-up and drop-off at your Lisbon hotel: an unhurried day with plenty of time by the sea.

Is there time to swim?

Yes. There's free time at Guincho and along the coast. Bring swimwear and a towel if you'd like a dip; the Atlantic here is bracing and beautiful.

Can we add Sintra?

Cascais and Sintra sit close together, but each deserves its own day. If you'd like to combine the highlights of both, tell us and we'll design a tailored route.

Is it good for families?

Very: the beaches, the lighthouse at Cabo da Roca and the open coast make it one of our easiest, most relaxed days for travellers of all ages.

Can you take a larger group?

Yes, for larger groups we arrange a private coach with your guide. Tell us your numbers and we'll tailor it.
