Questions, answered
Do you arrange holidays across all of Portugal, or only Lisbon?
All of it. We're based in Lisbon, but we design tailor-made trips across mainland Portugal (the Douro, Porto, the Alentejo, the Algarve), and out to the islands, with the Azores a particular favourite, alongside Madeira.
How far in advance should I book?
For the finest hotels and guides, especially from spring to early autumn, we'd suggest reaching out three to six months ahead. The best properties have few rooms and they go early. Though we love a good last-minute challenge too.
Can you arrange private guides, drivers and special access?
Yes. Private guiding and transfers are at the heart of what we do, along with experiences you won't find on a booking site: private tastings, after-hours visits, and introductions to the people who make Portugal what it is.
Do you offer self-guided and self-drive trips?
Absolutely. They're among our most loved. You go at your own pace with no guide in tow, yet nothing is left to chance: every hotel and reservation is arranged in advance, and your personalised roadbook keeps our recommendations close at hand throughout.
Is a tailor-made trip more expensive than booking it myself?
Honestly, usually, yes, and we're comfortable saying so. We don't set out to be the cheapest way to see Portugal. What we offer is something different: a journey designed exclusively around you, every detail arranged in advance, and the rare comfort of having nothing to organise and nothing to worry about. You're not buying a cheaper trip; you're buying one that is entirely your own, and the freedom to simply enjoy it.
What if I want to change something along the way?
That's the beauty of travelling with a local team. Plans can flex, and someone is always reachable if the mood, or the weather, calls for a change of plan.
